#Comizidamore: dalle ceneri del @pdnetwork, una nuova Sinistra italiana ed europea #napolitanobis

Lo scrivevo in un articolo di qualche settimana fa: il PD, prima o poi, doveva fare i conti con la propria identità confusa, indefinita, a tratti irritante. E ciò è avvenuto. Ma nel modo peggiore: durante le votazioni per il Presidente della Repubblica. E ad "uccidere" il partito non è stata solo l'area renziana, ma anche quella bersaniana.

Ma è accaduto un qualcosa di molto peggiore dell'eterno scontro tra ex democristiani ed ex comunisti: in un momento socio-economico-democratico difficilissimo per il Paese, il PD si è diviso in varie correnti - tutte in lotta tra loro - che, chiuse nelle buie stanze del palazzo, hanno "bruciato" Marini e tradito Prodi - il fondatore del PD, il suo più autorevole esponente - pur di non darla vinta alla corrente avversaria. Tutto questo, In barba ai problemi del Paese, in barba al volere dei propri militanti ed elettori - che a gran voce invocavano l'elezione di Stefano Rodotà - in barba anche al leato alleato, quella Sel a cui è stata tesa una trappola indegna, nel meschino tentativo di farla apparire come "traditrice" di Prodi, coprendo così le proprie magagne.

E, badate, non servirà cambiare Bersani con Renzi, o cambiare la Finocchiaro con Richetti: ciò che rende il PD inadeguato e pronto ad esplodere in qualsiasi momento è - ripeto - la sua natura confusa, che frena la sua azione politica, il suo proporre all'opinione pubblica programmi che si identifichino chiaramente in uno schieramento conservatore o progressista.

Intanto, Sel ha - ovviamente - rotto i rapporti con questo PD, più interessato a sopravvivere che a rendersi utile per risolvere i guai dell'Italia. E Vendola, dopo aver detto di no a Napolitano e aver votato Rodotà, ha annunciato una prossima assemblea romana (per l'8 maggio) in cui iniziare a costruire il percorso per una "sinistra larga, popolare, di governo". "Non una nuova sinistra arcobaleno", ha precisato Vendola.

Non so bene di cosa si discuterà in quell'assemblea, ma sono certo di una cosa: serve una sinistra senza "centro" davanti né che si trascini appresso minoritarismi di testimonianza mortali per ogni ambizione politica e di governo. Una sinistra laica e moderna, antiliberista ed ecologista, che metta i diritti umani in cima ai suoi programmi politici. Serve una sinistra che sopravviva ai suoi dirigenti perché la sinistra è un qualcosa di molto più grande e nobile delle biografie di 2-3 leader politici e dei relativi partiti: la sinistra è la voce coraggiosa della disperazione che si incanala in una affascinante esperienza umana e quindi politica. La sinistra è, e deve essere, di proprietà del popolo.

La sinistra, come scrivevo qualche settimana fa, ha una tripla responsabilità in più rispetto alla destra: oltre a governare il presente, deve immaginare e costruire il futuro. E deve rendersi conto che la sua sconfitta è quella degli strati più deboli ed emarginati della popolazione. Deve capire che è quantomeno delittuoso lasciare costoro in balìa delle perversioni conservatrici della destra. Perché ovunque manchi sinistra, manca l'eguaglianza, il rispetto dei diritti umani e il rispetto verso il pianeta che ci ospita.

Serve coraggio. Servono esami di coscienza. Serve guardarsi in faccia. Ma questo non debbono farlo solo i nostri dirigenti politici: abbiamo il dovere di farlo anche noi semplici militanti. A partire dal chiedere onestà, competenza e coraggio. Coraggio nel difendere l'identità di sinistra, certo, ma anche nel non avere paura di indicare orizzonti che valichino i confini nazionali, perché il futuro della nostra civiltà si decide sempre di più fuori dall'Italia. E con questo non indico solo una probabile adesione al Partito Socialista Europeo da parte di Sel o del prossimo soggetto politico che verrà, ma anche una incisiva sterzata delle politiche europee, attraverso azioni politiche che vedano l'ambiente, il lavoro e i diritti umani farla da padrone. Perché l'Europa è nata e prosperata così, e sta morendo proprio perché ha sotterrato questi valori.

Sinistra, esci fuori, alla luce del sole. Non avere paura né della tua nobile identità né del tuo popolo. I tuoi comizi d'amore sono abbracci passionali alla vita e alla democrazia. Il futuro t'appartiene.

From the ashes of the PD, a new Italian and European left wing

I wrote it in an article a few weeks ago: the PD, sooner or later, had to come to terms with its confused, indefinite, sometimes irritating identity. And it happened. But in the worst of ways: during the votation for the President of the Republic. And to kill the party wasn't just the Renzi area, but also the Bersani area.

But something happened that was even worse than the eternal clash between ex demochristians and ex communists: in an extremely difficult socio-economical-democratical momento for the country, the PD has divided itself into various currents - all fighting each other - which, closed in the dark rooms of the palace, have "burnt" Marini and betrayed Prodi - the founder of the PD, its most authoritative exponent - just to avoid letting the opposite side win. All of this, regardless of the problems of the country, regardless of the desires of the voters - who invoked the election of Stefano Rodotà - and even regardless of the loyal ally, that SEL who has been prepared a trap in the attempt to make it appear as the traitor of Prodi, in the attempt to cover up the mistakes.

And it won't be enough to change Bersani with Renzi, or change Finocchiaro with Richetti: what makes the PD inadequate and ready to explode at any time is - I repeat - its confused nature, that slows down its political action, its proposing to the public opinion of programs that can be clearly identified in a conservative or progressist wing.

In the meanwhile SEL has - obviously - shut down the relationships with this PD, more interested in surviving than making itself useful to solve Italy's problems. And Vendola, after saying no to Napolitano and voting Rodotà, has announced a future Rome assembly for the 8th of May, in which to start building a path for a "large, popular, governamental left wing". "Not a new rainbow left", Vendola has made it clear.

I don't know what exactly will be discussed in that meeting, but I am certain of one thing: we need a left without a "center" in front of it, and that doesn't have testimony minorities that are deadly for every political ambition. A secular, modern left wing, antiliberist and ecologist, that can put human rights at the top of its political programs. We need a left that can survive its leaders because the left wing is something much bigger and more noble than the biographies of 2 - 3 political leaders and their parties: the left is the brave voice of despair that is channeled in a fascinating human, and thus political experience. The left is, and must be, property of the people.

The left wing, as I wrote a few weeks ago, has the triple responsibility the right wing has: beyond leading the present, it must immagine and build the future. And it must realize that its defeat is the one of the weakest parts of the population. It must understand that it is a crime to leave them at the hand of the conservative perversions of the right. Because where the left is missing, equality, respect of human rights and respect for the planet we live on lack as well.

We need courage. We need to analyze our consciences. We need to look at ourselves in the mirror: but not only our political leaders: we, simple activists must do the same. And start by asking for honesty, competence and courage. Courage to defend the left wing identity, of course, but also not being afraid of indicating horizons that go beyond the national borders, because the future of our civilization is more and more decided outside of Italy. And I don't only indicate a probable adesion to the European Socialist Party on behalf of SEL or the next political party we'll have, but also an important move in European politics, through political actions that see the environment, jobs and human rights as protagonists in the game. Because Europe was born and was prospered that way, and it's dying because it has forgotten those values.

Left wing, go out in the light of the sun. Don't be afraid of your noble identity or of your people. Your loving assemblies are passional hugs to life and democracy. The future is yours.

Il Seppuku di #Twitter

Insomma le primarie sono finite, quelle del centro-sinistra almeno, perché qui si annuncia un intasamento che potrebbe portarci non ad una campagna elettorale permanente, ma ad un'elezione permanente!

Sapete tutti come sono andate a finire, Bersani ha vinto nella realtà, nelle urne, mentre Renzi ha vinto su Twitter e nel coro dei social media. La grande vittima è proprio twitter, costretto al seppuku, al suicidio rituale giapponese. C'erano anche i kaishakunin, i fedeli compagni che gli hanno tagliato la testa, in maniera generosa, per risparmiargli il dolore della lama che taglia gli intestini e la morte per dissanguamento. I fedeli compagni sono stati la tv generalista e la stampa, specialmente quella online, che davvero ha delle responsabilità profonde in questa messa in scena. Perché di questo si tratta.

I social media non hanno spostato un voto, anzi, li hanno spostati al contrario, vista la grande offensiva socialmediatica renziana nella settimana del ballottaggio, ci sono stati flussi di ritorno a favore del segretario e Ilvo Diamanti, sulle pagine di Repubblica, ha spiegato che, anche se tutte le 100.000 richieste di iscrizioni fossero stato accolte e avessero tutte, dico tutte al 100%, votato per l'obamino fiorentino, il risultato non sarebbe cambiato. Già nei mesi precedenti si è vista la scarsa efficacia che il sistema social media ha dimostrato nell'aiuto alla vendita, figuriamoci dopo questo tonfo nelle primarie riguardo il marketing politico. Io, come ho scritto in un post su Orson, sostengo che c'è bisogno di tornare all'azione, consigliando i rapimenti simil-alieni, come ha fatto Samorì e il duo Baccini-Galati.

Si dice che l'Italia non è pronta, che in fondo non c'è massa critica ed altre amenità. Bella scoperta! Quanti sono gli iscritti a Twitter, molti di meno rispetto a Facebook, che poi viene usato in maniere molto differenti, ma credo oscillino fra uno e due milioni, lasciando scoperti grossi settori per età, professione, abitudini di consumo e molti altri segmenti di micro-data e non di big-data. Voi credete davvero che ora che i blogger vanno al Motor Show sposteranno un acquisto di una sola auto? Oppure la gente continuerà a comprare Quattroruote o a vedere le macchine dei propri amici? Ho lavorato in un'agenzia di analisi e marketing del settore Automotive, quello che contava era la stampa e le trasmissioni tv di settore, neanche quelle satellitari, perchè chi paga vuole vedere contenuti premium come film, serie tv e sport. Quindi? Quindi i social hanno un effetto di rinforzo, di informazione e di interesse - qui sta davvero il concetto di engagement.Tralascio la delicata questione della primavera araba e dell'epilogo triste che sta affrontando, però me li ricordo i: "E' la forza della rete", "La rete porta democrazia", "La rete è la pace". Io me li ricordo bene.

Torniamo alle primarie, o meglio allo spazio che certa stampa, come Huffington Post, Pubblico e altri hanno dato a Twitter, perchè questo sta succedendo. Twitter è diventato un'ottima riserva di battute, per riempire il vuoto delle pagine bianche e degli spazi audiovisivi. Twitter è entrato nello scadenzario dei media tradizionali, come le conferenze stampa, le processioni e i saldi. Se guardate bene poi tutte le aspiranti twitstar vogliono quello, visibilità, ma visibilità sui media tradizionali, vogliono che il loro nome sia sul Corsera, o su Il Fatto Quotidiano, per non parlare di Repubblica o durante una diretta de La7. Nessuno ragiona totalmente alla visibilità sul web. L'unico scopo diventa farsi notare per poter bullarsi con gli amici oppure strappare un contratto da collaboratore per qualche centinaia di euro al mese se va bene, o 5 euro a pezzo, sempre se va bene. Questa era la grande rivoluzione? Quanti Social Media Anything Manager ci sono che lavorano per poco o che non percepiscono nulla?

Tutta la tossicità di Twitter ha avvelenato l'uccellino, tanto che oramai non gli restava che crepare sotto il peso della realtà dei voti di carta e delle matite copiatevi. Il prossimo banco di prova saranno le primarie del M5S, e anche la social tv, però di quello parlerò più avanti, visto che agli italiani non stanno dicendo che nel 2015 dovranno buttare i loro televisori, ma ne parleremo e in maniera molto approfondita. La sbornia è finita, adesso è il momento di essere cattivi, molto cattivi.

PS. va ricordato che Matteo Renzi è l'unico che non ha risposto alle domande di Intervistato. La prossima volta magari ci penserà meglio.

The Seppuku of Twitter

So the primaries are over, the ones of the left wing at least, because here there's a mess that could bring us not to a permanent elections campaign, but to a permanent election!

You all know how it ended, Bersani has won in the realities, at the voting stations, while Renzi won on Twitter and on social media. The great victim is Twitter itself, forced to seppuku, the Japanese ritual suicide. There  were also the kaishakunin, the faithful companions who cut its head in a generous fashion, to spare the pain of the blade cutting the intestines and the death by bleeding out. The faithful companions have been the TV and the print, especially the online one, who seriously has some deep responsibilities in this farce. Because that's what it is.

Social media didn't change a vote, or they changed them in the opposite direction, given the great Renzi socialmedia offensive during the week of the ballott, there have been flows of return in favor of the secretary of PD and Ilvo Diamanti, on the pages of Repubblica, has explained that even if all the 100.000 requests for sign-up had been approved, and if they had all, and I mean all, voted for Renzi, the result wouldn't have changed. Already during the past months we've seen the scarce efficiency that the social media system has in helping sales, go figure after this political marketing fail. As I wrote on a post on Orson, I say that we need to go back to action, counseling simil-alien abductions, as Samorì did and the duo Baccini-Galati.

They say Italy isn't ready, that in the end there is no critical mass and other amenities. Nice discovery! How many Twitter users are there? Many less than Facebook, and they are used in very different ways, but I believe we're talking about one or two milion people, leaving ample segments uncovered by age, profession, consume habits and many other segments of micro-data and not big-data. Do you really think that bloggers at the Motor Show will influence purchases? Or that people will continue buying Quattroruote or seeing their friends' cars? I've worked in an agency of analysis and marketing in the Automotive field and what mattered was the print and sector TV shows, not even satellite, because who pays wants to see premium content such as movies, tv series and sports. So now what? Social media have a reinforcement effect, information and interest - here is where the whole concept of engagement stands. I'll leave aside the delicate matter of the Arab Spring and the sad epilogue that it is living, and I remember the "It's the force of the web", "The web brings democracy", "The web is peace". I remember them very well.

40 domande a @pbersani, tra #primarie ed #elezioni2013: risponderà? #pb2013

Siamo arrivati a Bersani, dopo Renzi e Vendola, tocca al segretario rispondere alle domande che Intervistato ha raccolto dalla rete. Segretario dal 2009, con un partito uscito malconcio dalla sconfitta elettorale, le do atto di averci messo la faccia in un periodo che definire difficile è dire poco. In tre anni è successo di tutto e secondo molti "prestigiosi commentatori" siamo ancora in una fase di "transizione".


Prima o poi però da qui, da questo pantano bisognerà uscirne, bisognerà lanciare un progetto per questa Italia adesso in mano ai tecnici, bisognerà trovare una sintesi fra le parti in causa. Non parlo del PD, agitato fra renziani e giovani turchi, o della coalizione che verrà, ma del paese. Ci vuole coraggio e lei ne ha fatto il suo claim elettorale. Niente da dire, ma poi ci sono le elezioni da vincere e ci sono tante cose da fare.

E bisogna farle e farle almeno nel migliore dei modi possibili, magari se si ascoltasse di più la rete, e in maniera diversa, qualche proposta seria si trova, anche perché qui ci sono cittadini, gente che lavora e gente che vorrebbe lavorare.

Però è difficile mettere insieme posti letto in ospedale e F35, infrastrutture e recupero del territorio, che sembra venire giù ad ogni temporale, spending review e servizi sociali. Qui c'è bisogno di cambiare, ma non per vezzo o perché ce lo chiede l'Europa, ma per due motivi: le regole e le soluzioni usate non funzionano più e perché lo chiede il paese.

E' una parola importante questa - Paese - qualcosa che sa di lontano e sembra essere svanita, forse è stata l'illusione di una nazione, visto che l'Italia sembra una galassia che si raduna intorno ai proprio campanili, reali o costruiti abilmente da vari imbonitori che si sono succeduti negli ultimi anni, troppo anni.

Non c'è solo il lavoro, ci sono anche i diritti. Stamattina leggo che ha avuto il primo si alla Camera la proposta di legge che equipara i figli naturali a quelli nati all'interno del matrimonio. Era ora, visto che la famiglia, di cui tutti si sono riempiti la bocca, sembra ancora essere il cardine del paese. Ma quale famiglia?

Qui bisogna aprire gli occhi, le cose sono cambiate. Tutto è cambiato. Qui bisogna che manca una parola a tutti i dibattiti che stanno sorgendo, cioè responsabilità. Quelle della politica e quelle dei cittadini, bisogna ridisegnare un patto in tutta la società.

40 questions for Pierluigi Bersani

We've arrived at Bersani, after Renzi and Vendola, so it's the secretary's turn to answer the questions that Intervistato.com collected online. Secretary since 2009, with a party that wasn't very well put after the elections defeat, he did put his name on the line in a time that defining difficult is too little. In three years everything happened, and according to some prestigious commentators, we're still in a phase of transition.

Sooner or later we'll have to get out of this mess, though, we'll have to launch a project for this Italy now in the hands of technicians, we'll have to find a synthesis between the parts. I'm not talking about the PD, agitated between Renzi supporters and young turks, or the coalition, but about the country. We need courage and Bersani made it his elections claim. Nothing to say, but there are elections to win and many things to do.

And they must be done in the best possible way, maybe listening to the Web more, and in a different way, some serious proposal can come out, because here there are citizens, people who work and people who wants to work. But it's difficult to put together beds in hospitals and F35s, infrastructures and territory, that seem to collapse every time it rains, spending review and social services. There's a need for change, but not because Europe is asking for it, but for two reasons: rules and solutions used until now don't work anymore, and because the country is asking for it. It's an important word - Country - something that seems faraway and almost vanished, maybe the illusion of a nation, since Italy looks like a galaxy that reunites around its bell towers, real or built by those who wanted to control the people for so many years.

And not only work, rights as well. This morning I read about the first yes at the House for the law that makes rights equal for legitimate and natural sons. It was about time, since the family everyone's talking about seems to still be an important pillar of the country. But which family? We have to keep our eyes open, things have changed. Everything has changed. Here one word is lacking from all the debates, which is responsibility. That of politics and of citizens, we must redesign a pact for society. How do you see this pact? What are the responsibilities you intend to take? For now we would like you to take the responsibility of answering these questions.

#ilconfrontoskytg24: il resoconto del #dibattito sulle #primarie

Ieri sera si è svolto il primo dibattito televisivo della campagna per le primarie del centro-sinistra, che decideranno dunque anche il candidato alla Presidenza del Consiglio alle prossime elezioni politiche 2013.


I cinque candidati - Bersani, Renzi, Tabacci, Vendola e Puppato - hanno partecipato al "Confronto" mandato in onda da SkyTG24, in un'ambientazione talmente simile a quella di XFactor da mandare in confusione un telespettatore disattento che dovesse in quel momento sintonizzarsi sul canale più seguito della serata, peraltro disponibile anche in streaming online.

A metà tra un quiz show e un dibattito vero e proprio, con 20 domande e 90 secondi ciascuno per rispondere, quello di ieri sera è stato un format decisamente inusuale per un pubblico generalmente abituato al tradizionale talk show italiano di stampo politico in stile Ballarò. Molti l'hanno chiamato dibattito "all'americana", con tutti i pregi e difetti che ne conseguono: da una parte la costrizione a rimanere aderenti al tema trattato e non divagare o aggirare la risposta, ma anche la necessità di circoscrivere il proprio intervento in una finestra temporale di soli 90 secondi, impresa alquanto difficile quando si trattano temi tanto complessi.

Altri hanno parlato della nascita di un "nuovo format", ovvero il "debate show", e nonostante in realtà non si tratti di qualcosa di "nuovo", è stato esattamente questo: uno spettacolo, con tanto di luci, regia, e una fotografia ben lontana da quella dell'asettico studio di Vespa. Non a caso, infatti, l'hashtag alternativo più gettonato della serata è stato #csxfactor.

Tuttavia l'impostazione quasi goliardica è stata percepita da molti come un grave errore di comunicazione: l'immagine dei Fantastici 5, un fotomontaggio di bassa lega che ritrae alcuni famosi supereroi con le facce dei 5 candidati pubblicata sul sito web del Partito Democratico, ha portato alla creazione di un hashtag dedicato - #fantastici5 - , impietose critiche e battute su Twitter, ed una serie di altrettanto grotteschi fotomontaggi creati dagli utenti. Un'espressione di maturità politica, per certi versi, che defluisce nel canale satirico, che dunque va in forte contrapposizione con il gusto per un format che attraverso la limitazione di spazi e tempi frantuma e semplifica i contenuti rispetto a quanto eravamo abituati a vedere in tv finora, rendendoli più comprensibili e digeribili anche ad un pubblico non esperto dei temi trattati.

Parlando di hashtag, vale la pena aprire una breve parentesi. Se durante la campagna per le elezioni americane, i tweet riguardanti i dibattiti venivano contraddistinti dall'hashtag #debates, in Italia le cose sono un po' sfuggite di mano. SkyTG24 ha insistito per usare #ilconfrontoskytg24, che dimostra quanta comprensione delle dinamiche dei social media ci sia a certi livelli. Alcuni diranno che già il fatto di aver coniato un hashtag è un enorme passo avanti: vero. Ma di passi avanti, è innegabile, ce ne sono da fare ancora molti.

L'hashtag tutto sommato è un concentrato di significato, significante ed una buona dose di ironia: per questo motivo sono nati hashtag alternativi come #csxfactor e #fantastici5, ma anche versioni più prosaiche come #confronto, #ilconfronto, #dibattito, #dibattiti, #primarie, #dibattitoprimarie, #confrontotv, piuttosto che i vari #Bersani, #Renzi, #Vendola, #Puppato, #Tabacci, #pb2013, e chi più ne ha più ne metta. Una dispersione di conversazione non indifferente, se teniamo conto che si sono verificate punte di 1.500 tweet/minuto sul dibattito.

Ed è proprio questo l'elemento di novità, forse, di questa serata che si può definire a tutti gli effetti un successo: una partecipazione del pubblico davvero poderosa, sebbene sia andata in parallelo rispetto alla trasmissione stessa, senza punti di contatto e contaminazione. Sembrerebbe comunque che la direzione sia quella giusta: SkyTG24 già ha prenotato il prossimo dibattito, che presumibilmente sarà ancora più seguito del primo, e si può supporre che a un certo punto avverrà anche un'integrazione tra i contenuti, le domande e i commenti online e lo studio in cui si sta svolgendo il "dibattito".

Queste evoluzioni, per quanto futuribili, saranno a un certo punto inevitabili: voler costruire un hashtag ufficiale della serata è un primo passo su questa strada, e dunque ci sarà da aspettarsi una "superficie" di contatto sempre più estesa. Che sia attraverso l'importazione e la discussione dei contenuti UGC in studio, o l'intervento diretto del pubblico online, o altre modalità non ancora definite e definibili, questo non lo so.

Quel che è certo è che dopo il successo immenso che il Confronto ha ottenuto ieri sera, non sarà più possibile tornare indietro.

A synthesis of the debate on the primary elections

Yesterday evening we saw the first TV debate of the campaign for the center-left primary elections that will also decide the candidate for Prime Minister at the next political elections in 2013.

The five candidates - Bersani, Renzi, Tabacci, Vendola and Puppato - have participated to the debated aired by SkyTG24, in a setting so similar to that of XFactor that an anaware viewer that happened to see the show would probably have been a bit confused. The whole evening was also available in online streaming.

Halfway between a quiz show and a proper debate, with 20 questions and 90 seconds each to answer, it was definitely an unusual format for an audience that is used to the traditional Italian political talk show in Ballarò style. Many have called it "American" debate, with all the pros and cons that ensue: on the one hand constraining candidates to stay focused on the topic and not try to avoid the question, but also the need to answer in the 90 seconds given, which is quite difficult when you treat difficult topics.

Others have talked about the birth of a "new format", the "debate show", and although there is nothing really new, it has been exactly that: a show, with lights, editing, and photography that are miles away from Vespa's aseptic studio. It wasn't a coincidence that the most used alternative hashtag of the evening was #csxfactor.

However the funny setting has been perceived by many as a big communication mistake: the image of the Fantastic 5, a low quality photoshopped picture of famous superheroes with the candidates' heads on, which was published on the Democratic Party website, has led to the creation of a dedicated hashtag - #fantastici5 -, wild criticism on Twitter and a series of grotesque images created by users. An expression of political maturity, in some way, that manages to find its path in the satire channel, which is in strong opposition to the taste for a format that, thanks to the limitation of space and time, breaks and simplifies content in comparison to what we were used to see on TV, making it more comprehensible and easy to digest to an audience of non experts.

Speaking of hashtags, it's worth opening a brief parenthesis. If during the American campaign the tweets regarding the debates had the hashtag #debates, in Italy things have gone out of control. SkyTG24 insisted on having the official #ilconfrontoskytg24, which proves just how much understanding of social media these people have. Some will say that creating a hashtag is a huge step in the first place: true. But there are quite a few big steps to make, that's for sure.

The hashtag is a concentrate of meaning and a good dose of sense of humor: this is the reason why alternative hashtags were born, such as #csxfactor and #fantastici5, but also more practical versions, such as #confronto, #ilconfronto, #dibattito, #dibattiti, #primarie, #dibattitoprimarie, #confrontotv, and also #Bersani, #Renzi, #Vendola, #Puppato, #Tabacci, #pb2013, and much much more. A dispersion of conversation that cannot be ignored, if we consider that there have been peaks of 1.500 tweets/minute about the debate.

And this is the element of news, maybe, of this evening that can be defined as a spectacular success: a participation of audience that is incredible, although it went parallel to the show itself, without points of content or contamination. It seems that it is the right direction, however. SkyTG24 has already booked the next debate, which will probably be even more watched than the first, and we can suppose that at some point there will be an integration of content, questions and comments, and the studio where the debate is held.

These evolutions, however difficult, will at some point be inevitable: wanting to create a hashtag for the evening is the first step on this path, so we're going to probably see a bigger and bigger contact surface in the future. Whether by importing and discussing UGC contents in the studio, or thanks to direct comments from users, or other ways that still aren't defined, I don't know.

What I do know is that after the immense success the show had last night, we won't be able to go back anymore.

L'improvvisa popolarità del Movimento 5 Stelle, lo scandalo dell'IDV e Di Pietro, lo sfascio interno al PDL, la perdita di credibilità della Lega Nord e uno scenario quanto mai variegato quando si guarda a sinistra: questa al momento la situazione politica italiana.

I mesi di scontri e lotte intestine nel centro-sinistra stanno per arrivare a una conclusione: il panorama politico è ora più che mai incerto, con equilibri storici improvvisamente sovvertiti, nuove maggioranze e partiti che hanno perso qualsiasi autorevolezza.

Stasera avrà luogo il Confronto tra i candidati alle primarie del centro-sinistra, che decideranno dunque il candidato premier alle prossime elezioni politiche 2013. Intervistato.com e 140NN (@ezekiel) porteranno le voci dei social network dentro il confronto TV.

Podio "all'americana" e regole ben precise: 1 minuto e 30 secondi per ogni risposta, domande anche dal pubblico e l'ordine delle risposte decise da un sorteggio.

Il duello delle primarie sarà multicanale, sbarcando simultaneamente su TV e Web, quindi per tutti noi è una grande occasione: non vogliamo solo ascoltare cosa risponderanno i candidati alle domande di Gianluca Semprini, ma soprattutto "sentire" cosa ne pensa chi popola i social network, in diretta, senza farci sfuggire neanche una frase, una sensazione, una battuta. Senza filtri né censure, come nostro solito.

E' finita l'era dei commenti caduti nel vuoto davanti alla televisione: oggi si partecipa e si crea opinione in tempo reale. E' questo il nostro mare, ed è qui che ci interessa nuotare.

The Italian Debate for the primary elections in the center-left

The sudden popularity of the M5S, the scandal of IDV and Di Pietro, the internal disaster of the PDL, the loss of credibility of Lega Nord and an extremely colorful scenario when you look at the left wing: this is the situation of Italian politics at the moment.

The months of fights and internal disagreements in the center left are about to come to an end: the political scenario is uncertain now more than ever, with historical balances that are inverted all of the sudden, new majorities and once strong parties who have lost all authority.

Tonight the first Debate between the candidates of center left will be held: these elections will decide the candidate for the Prime Minister spot at the political elections in 2013. Intervistato.com and 140NN (@ezekiel) will bring the voices from social networks inside the TV debate.

So starting 20.30 you will be able to follow the live airing on SkyTG24. Da #Berlusconi a #Renzi: dal berlusconismo al neoberlusconismo renziano

La favola berlusconiana di questo Nuovo Ventennio, catalizzava fino a ieri il provincialismo culturale nostrano con i suoi mali sociali più antichi, promettendo quei sogni impossibili (sedimentati dalla TV modello "DriveIn"), che una certa pseudo borghesia frustrata sentiva in qualche modo come propri, soprattutto perché figlia degli Anni Ottanta craxiani/piduisti e quindi del benessere clientelare fotografato poi con Tangentopoli.

L'onnipresenza mediatica del primo Berlusconi ne ha così alterato il linguaggio, da spacciare per normalità qualsiasi impresentabile bizzarìa del suo piccolo egocentrismo italiota, basato fondamentalmente su un finto riscatto sociale che passava necessariamente dall'immagine costruita (quanto distorta) di un utopico selfmade man tuttofare de noantri.

Sicuramente il prodotto Berlusconi ed il Berlusconi pensiero si collocano a valle di una società italiana consumista (post anni 60, con una forte urbanizzazione e industrializzazione del Paese), indubbiamente poco preparata culturalmente (post anni 70, dove era più facile occupare le università e le scuole che frequentarle nell'eco della subcultura hippie) e con il mito del successo facile e per tutti (proprio degli anni 80 craxiani, degli Yuppie e dell'utopico sogno americano). Se contestualizziamo, negli Anni Novanta di Tangentopoli e di "Beverly Hills 90210" nasce l'embrione del Berlusconi del Nuovo Ventennio che è perdurato in forme e modalità anfibie fino ad oggi.

L'eco di quel linguaggio, oggi, è l'eredità più pesante del berlusconismo odierno, che non ha nemmeno più bisogno dell'impresentabile leader nano con il rialzo sul tacco e il crine disegnato per esserne espressione, ma che permea comunque ogni livello della società attuale, cambiando ed alterando de facto il modo di pensare e di fare di ognuno di noi, delle nostre scelte, fino al renziano modo di intendere la politica, apparentemente sull'onda di un pretestuoso ricambio gridato goffamente da un'inetta, impreparata e deculturalizzata "Generazione Italia Uno".

Oggi Renzi si fa portabandiera di quella continuità di dalemiana memoria, che un minimo di memoria storico-politica imporrebbe di ricordare: Renzi che oggi incontra la finanza a Milano e che va nella villa di Berlusconi, quella del bunga bunga ad Arcore, è il D'Alema di ieri che incontrava la finanza di allora a La City di Londra e andava in visita a Mediaset definendola "un patrimonio culturale del Paese". Ed è lo stesso Renzi che proprio oggi vuol rottamare quello stesso D'Alema. Sarà che probabilmente hanno ragione loro e torto noi.

E sarà forse proprio questo neoberlusconismo, prematura tomba di ogni ideale filosofico e culturale del Novecento, che ha annientato ogni modello di riferimento economico e sociale, di destra quanto di sinistra, e ad aver tolto ogni futuro alle società di domani con l'illusione dell'assenza (quanto della volontà di ricercarne) di vere alternative possibili e sostenibili, politiche e sociali come economiche.

From Berlusconi to Renzi

The Berlusconi fable of these last twenty years, just until yesterday used to catalize the cultural provincialism in Italy with its most antique social evils, allowing those impossible dreams (sedimented by the TV with the model of "DriveIn") that a certain frustrated pseudo-middleclass felt somehow as its own, especially because an heir of the Craxi/PD 80s and the client wellbeing photographed later with Tangentopoli.

The media omnipresence of the first Berlusconi has altered the language so much, that it has presented as normality any impresentable oddity of its small Italian egocentrism, based fundamentally on a fake social redemption that passed necessarily through the artificial and distorted image of a utopic selfmade man do it all.

Surely the Berlusconi product and the Berlusconi thought are positioned downstream an Italian consumist society (post 60s, with a strong urbanization and industrialization of the country), undoubtedly little prepared from a cultural point of view (post 70s, when it was easier to occupy universities and schools than attend them in the eco of the hippie subculture) and with the myth of easy success available for all (right in the Craxi 80s era, of Yuppies and the utopic American dream). If we contextualize, in the 90s of Tangentopoli and Beverly Hills 90210 the embryo of the Berlusconi of the Twenty Years was born, with the ambiguous forms and modalities that have endured until today.

The eco of that language, today, is the heaviest heritage of Berlusconism, that doesn't even need an unpresentable short leader with high heels and painted head to be its expression, but that permeates every level of current society anyway, changing and varying de facto the way of thinking and doing of each of us, our choices, until the Renzi way of seeing politics, apparently on the wave of a pretextuous change screamed unelegantly by an inept, unprepared and deculturalized "Generation Italia 1".

Today Renzi incarnates the continuity of D'Alema, which a minimum of historical-political memory would impose to remember: Renzi who today meets the finance in Milano and that goes to Berlusconi's villa to visit, the one of the bunga bunga in Arcore, is yesterday's D'Alema that met the finance at the City in London and visited Mediaset defining it "a cultural patrimony of the country". And it's the same Renzi that today wants to change that same D'Alema. Maybe because they're probably right and we're wrong.

And maybe it will be this neoberlusconism, premature grave of every philosophic and cultural ideal of the 20th century, that has killed every economic and social model, on the right wing or the left, and will take away any kind of future to tomorrow's society with the illusion of absence (and the will of looking for any) of true alternatives that are possible and sustainable, political and social as well as economical.

#Mafia ed #elezioni2013: programmi elettorali e criminalità organizzata

Nella sua tappa milanese della campagna elettorale Matteo Renzi ha riservato una citazione a Giorgio Ambrosoli, commissario liquidatore della Banca Privata Italiana di Michele Sindona, freddato da un killer l’11 luglio del 1979. 

Un grande milanese, una grande personalità nazionale e internazionale quella di Giorgio Ambrosoli. Un onesto, con la cultura della correttezza e del suo lavoro.

Una di quelle storie però dimenticate, spesso finite in soffitta e impolverate, volutamente dimenticata dalla Milano rampante che frequentava lo studio di quel Sindona. Il “salvatore della lira”, il “mago delle tasse”, che morì nel carcere di Voghera per un caffè al cianuro dopo essere stato condannato come mandante dell’omicidio Ambrosoli, e ritenuto in contatto e curatore degli interessi di Cosa Nostra.

Ecco. Fa bene Renzi a toccare la corda Ambrosoli a Milano, una figura in cui qualunque elettorato borghese e non dovrebbe riconoscersi, peccato che queste citazioni rimangano sempre in superficie. Saremo brevi e concisi dopo un preambolo necessario. Parliamo di programmi elettorali e criminalità organizzata.

Me li sono spulciati oltre il “Control+F” per fare la ricerca di una parola singola. Li ho letti perché non tutti chiamano le cose con il loro nome e spesso ci si gira intorno. Il risultato è che nei programmi elettorali questa criminalità organizzata è grande assente, pur rientrando in tanti aspetti della vita quotidiana, dalla sicurezza pubblica al lavoro, dallo sviluppo economico alla giustizia passando per le buone pratiche all’interno della Pubblica Amministrazione.

Ebbene, come ho avuto modo di osservare già sul blog che seguo per Linkiesta, Pizza Connection, tra i programmi dei candidati alle primarie e quello di Beppe Grillo al tema è dedicato davvero poco spazio e poca menzione. Eppure quando si parla di tagli, per esempio, alle sezioni della Direzione Investigativa Antimafia, tutti pronti a indignarsi. Una indignazione però senza seguito.

Nel programma di Renzi troviamo sotto il punto "Garanzia della sicurezza" al punto 10 del programma, comma d:

Affrontare le nuove forme della criminalita’ organizzata.Gli strumenti utilizzati per combatterla sono tradizionalmente strumenti di ordine pubblico espesso emergenziali. In particolare la questione dell’infiltrazione mafiosa nell’economia reale è fenomeno da presidiare. Per mettere in campo progetti innovativi e cogliere la mutevolezza dei fenomeni in questo campo avrà un ruolo strategico la valorizzazione di esperienze di indagine condotte in alcuni contesti e la sperimentazione di osservatori locali finalizzati a leggere in maniera integrati i dati rilevanti in possesso dei vari attori istituzionali (Procure, Prefetture e Forze di Polizia, Amministrazioni locali).

Una decina di righe, ma rimane l'unico a evidenziare "la questione dell'infiltrazione mafiosa nell'economia reale".

Tra gli intenti di Bersani si legge che il suo PD intende dare

sostegno più concreto agli organi inquirenti e agli amministratori impegnati contro mafie e criminalità, vero piombo nelle ali per l’intero Paese

Stop. Come, dove e perchè sono problematiche che non ci devono sfiorare. Il tutto sotto il titolo 2 "Democrazia". Insomma, questo "piombo nelle ali del Paese", altro non è che un "piombo" a cui dedicare tre righe.

Tra le sette proposte di Vendola quello del crimine organizzato, salvo un passaggio nella parte dedicata all’agricoltura, è un problema pressoché mai trattato, così come alla outsider per le primarie del centrosinistra Laura Puppato.

Spostandosi a destra, la Lega prova a fare una proposta concreta, ma confina il tutto nella pratica del soggiorno obbligato, dimostrando di faticare ancora a comprendere come ormai i “Lumbard” non siano solo vittime del cancro mafioso, ma spesso complici. Una proposta quindi con la pretesa di essere concreta ma già fuori dalla storia.

Nel Pdl invece, si sciorinano numeri su numeri di quando al dicastero c’era Roberto Maroni (Lega) che arrestava "otto latitanti al giorno". Dimenticandosi però di provare a fare qualche proposta per il futuro, nonostante gli input siano arrivati anche quando al governo c’era ancora la stessa armata Brancaleone di berlusconiana memoria.

Eppure per scrivere qualche pagina di programma dedicata al contrasto alla criminalità organizzata facendo qualche proposta concreta, sarebbe bastato andarsi a leggere, prima di tutto la relazione annuale dell’Agenzia Nazionale dei Beni Sequestrati e Confiscati. Dove si rileva il problema della carenza di personale e delle imprese confiscate o sequestrate troppo spesso destinate a morire e di conseguenza a far perdere posti di lavoro. Leggere qualche riga della Corte dei Conti, magari provando a mettere in prospettiva una vera legge anticorruzione (con reati veri e non quelli a metà previsti da quello attuale) e intervenire sul codice antimafia laddove sono stati lasciati buchi imperdonabili nella legislazione sugli appalti e subappalti. Senza dimenticare proprio che dal prossimo anno si inizierà a fare sul serio con le gare di Expo2015, un evento tutt’altro che al riparo dagli appetiti mafiosi. Così come più riguardo per i cosiddetti "whistleblower", cioè coloro che denunciano malaffare all'interno delle società pubbliche o private. Un termine che quando impareremo a conoscere sarà già troppo tardi.

Mafia and 2013 elections: elections programs and organized crime

In the Milan stop of his elections campaign, Matteo Renzi has saved a quote for Giorgio Ambrosoli, liquidator commissioner of the Italian Private Bank of Michele Sindona, killed on July the 11th 1979. A great Milanese, a great national and international personality, Giorgio Ambrosoli. An honest man, with a culture for being correct and of his work.

One of those stories that have been forgotten, often ended up in an attic, filled with dust, willingly forgotten by the roaring Milan that used to be in Sindona's study. The savior of the Lira, the magician of taxes, who died in a prison of Voghera because of a cup of coffee with cyanide after being condemned as the mandator of the Ambrosoli homicide, and considered to be in contact and curator of the interests of Cosa Nostra.

So. Renzi is right to touch the Ambrosoli note in Milan, a figure with which any voter should identify, too bad that these words too often remain on the surface. We will be short and concise after this necessary introduction. Let's talk about the elections programs and organized crime.

I read them beyond the simple Control+F to look for one word. I read them because not everyone calls things with their names and often they keep going around things instead of going to the point. the result is that in the elections programs this organized crime is often absent, even though it enters so many aspects of daily life, from public safety to work, from economical development to justice, and the good practices inside the PA.

So, as I have already observed on the blog I follow for Linkiesta, Pizza Connection, among the programs of the candidates to the primaries and that of Beppe Grillo the topic is given little space and little mention. And yet when we talk about cuts, for example, to the sections of the Antimafia Investigative Direction, everyone is ready to protest. A protest that has no consequence, though.

In Renzi's program we find under the point "Guarantee of safety" at the tenth point of the program, comma d:

Facing the new forms of organized crime.
The tools used to fight it are traditionally tools of public order and often emergency means. In particular the matter of the mafia infiltration in the real economy is a phenomenon to take care of. In order to put on the field innovative projects and understand the rate of change of phenomena in this field the valorization of experiences of inquiry in some contexts and the experimentation of local observers aimed to read in an integrated fashion the relevant data that the various institutions possess, will have a strategic role.

Ten lines, but he's the only one to give attention to the "matter of mafia infiltration in the real economy".

Among Bersani's intentions, we can read that his PD will give

a more concrete support to the inquiring organs and the administrators who are fighting against mafia and criminality, true lead for the wings of the entire country

Stop. How, where and why are problems that must not touch us. All is included in the Title 2, "Democracy". So, this "lead for the wings of the country", is nothing more than some "lead" that only deserves 3 lines.

Among Vendola's seven proposals, that of organized crime, except for a passage in the part dedicated to agriculture, is a matter that is almost never treated, and the same is true for the outsider for center left primaries Laura Puppato.

Shifting to right, Lega tries to make a concrete proposal, but confines everything in the practice of obliged residency, proving that they still have difficulties understanding that the Lombardy people are not only the victims of the mafia cancer, but often its accomplices. A proposal that wants to be concrete but that is already outside history.

In the PDL there are numbers above numbers about when Roberto Maroni was at the dicastery and he arrested "eight fugitives a day". Forgetting to make some proposals for the future, in spite of the fact that inputs came even when the same Brancaleone army of Berlusconian memory was still at the government.

And yet, in order to be able to write a few pages of program dedicated to contrasting organized crime doing some concrete proposals, it would have been enough to go read the annual report of the National Agency of Sequestered and Confiscated Goods. Where we find the problem of the lack of personnel and of companies confiscated or sequestered too often destined to die and consequently causing jobs to be lost. Reading a few lines of the Count Court, perhaps trying to put in perspective a true anticorruption law (with true crimes and not the half ones indicated by the current one) and doing something on the antimafia code, where some unforgivable holes have been left on the legislation of contracts and subcontracts. Without forgetting that from next year we'll start doing things for real for the Expo2015, an event that is all but outside mafia appetites. As more respect for the so called "whistleblowers", those who signal unregular affairs inside public or private companies. A term that we will start to be familiar with when it will already be too late.

Domani avremo il piacere di intervistare Giuseppe Civati, politico e blogger italiano, consigliere regionale in Lombardia per il PD e rottamatore.

Laureato in filosofia nel 1998, nel 2004 ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca all'Università Statale di Milano, dove ha collaborato alla ricerca presso la cattedra di Storia della Filosofia.
Ha lavorato anche presso l'Istituto Studi del Rinascimento di Firenze e l'Universitat de Barcelona, in Spagna, occupandosi prevalentemente di filosofia del Rinascimento e di comprensione filosofica della globalizzazione e dell'identità dell'Occidente.

Eletto al Consiglio comunale di Monza nel 1997, l'anno successivo è diventato segretario cittadino dei Democratici di Sinistra. È stato membro anche della segreteria provinciale e regionale sino alla fondazione del Partito Democratico nel 2007, al quale è iscritto.

Dal 2005 è consigliere regionale in Lombardia, eletto nelle liste di Uniti nell'Ulivo, ed oggi fa parte del gruppo consiliare del PD.
Dal 2004 gestisce un seguito blog in cui affronta prevalentemente tematiche connesse con il dibattito politico.

Dopo le dimissioni di Walter Veltroni del 17 febbraio 2009 dalla presidenza del PD, è risultato il secondo più votato dai partecipanti al sondaggio online del settimanale L'Espresso per la scelta del nuovo leader del partito.
Viene considerato uno degli esponenti di punta tra i cosiddetti "trentenni" che potrebbero guidare il ricambio generazionale del Partito Democratico.

Nel luglio del 2009 è diventato il coordinatore nazionale della Campagna Elettorale di Ignazio Marino in vista del Primo Congresso e della Primarie del Partito Democratico.
Alle elezioni amministrative del 28-29 marzo è stato rieletto consigliere della regione Lombardia nella circoscrizione di Monza con 10.256 preferenze.

Nell'aprile del 2010, a causa del diffuso malcontento tra gli elettori democratici per l'esito delle elezioni regionali, Civati dà vita assieme a Carlo Monguzzi al movimento politico interno al Partito Democratico chiamato "Andiamo Oltre", che si definisce come "un contratto a progetto, della durata di tre mesi, che vede coinvolte tutte le persone che hanno a cuore il futuro del Paese e del PD".

L'impegno assunto da coloro che hanno simbolicamente sottoscritto il contratto è di "non prendere in considerazione le vicende interne del partito, ma a prendere in considerazione esclusivamente i progetti e le proposte da fare al Paese".

Ha organizzato insieme a Matteo Renzi (sindaco di Firenze), il congresso/raduno "Prossima fermata: Italia", nei giorni 5, 6 e 7 novembre 2010, presso la Stazione Leopolda di Firenze, conosciuto anche come il "raduno dei rottamatori".

Avremo modo di parlare dell'attuale situazione politica italiana, di intercettazioni, processi, conflitti d'interessi e della crisi economica, giusto per citare alcuni temi.

Tomorrow we'll have the pleasure of interviewing Giuseppe Civati, Italian politician and blogger.

He graduated Philosophy in 1998, and in 2004 he obtained the research doctorate at the Università Statale di Milano, where he collaborated in the research with the History of Philosophy chair.
He also worked at the Institute of Studies on Reinassance in Florence and the Universitat de Barcelona, in Spain, dealing mostly with Reinassance philosophy and the philosophical understanding of globalization and West identity.

Elected at the town council of Monza in 1997, the following year he became secretary of the Democratici di Sinistra. He has also been member of the provincial and regional secretary until the founding of the Partito Democratico, of which he is currently a member.

From 2005 he has been regional councillor in Lombardy, elected in the lists of Uniti nell'Ulivo, and today he is part of the council group of PD.
In 2004 he started a very popular blog in which he discusses mostly topics related to politics.

After Walter Veltroni's resignation the 17th of February 2009 from the presidency, he turned out to be the second most voted by participants to an online poll organized by L'Espresso as the choice for the new leader of the party.
He is considered one of the most important "thirty year olds" that might guide the generation change inside the Partito Democratico.

In July 2009 he became the national coordinator of Ignazio Marino's Electoral Campaign before the First Congress and primary elections of PD.
At the administrative elections of 28-29 March he was re-elected regional councillor in Lombardy with 10.256 votes.

In April 2010, due to the spreading discontent among democrats for the results of the regional elections, Civati started, together with Carlo Monguzzi, a political movement inside the PD, called "Andiamo Oltre", that which is defined as "a project contract, 3 months long, that involves everyone who cares about the future of the country and of the PD."
The committment of those who have simbolically signed the contract would be to "not consider the internal facts of the party, but only consider the projects and proposals for the country".

He has organized, together with Matteo Renzi, mayor of Florence, the congress "Prossima fermata: Italia", also known as the "gathering of scrappers".
