Mass Age Mess Age: the defense of free web, which isn't free
Recently during one of my lessons, I was explaining to my students that "sharing is one of the things we can do that triggers the virality of content, along with the vote (read "like" or "+1") and the comment."
As I was talking I realized, however, that the concept of sharing that I was explaining was purely mechanical and emotional: a couple of clicks, perhaps a line to explain why we like or dislike that content and that's it. It is all very far from what, just a few years a go, made the "philosophy of the Internet".
Giuseppe Granieri, in his Blog generation, explains very well how bloggers were dedicated to finding "interesting content on the web and sharing it with others". A sometimes weary work of research, selection and publication of new knowledge. The web itself, not Arpanet but Internet itself, was born to connect Universities and make knowledge available. The goal was the much advertised "collective intelligence, superior to the simple sum of the ones composing it". In essence, the concept was that reasoning together, putting intelligences together, would have brought to a collective enrichment that was impossible to reach separately.
Coming back to what I was explaining to my students, it appears obvious that it's not like that anymore. We share in the optic of the simple transmission of an information, not very different from the tendency, during friends reunions, of saying "do you know what happened or what Tizio or Caio did"? and to accompany this information only with emotional instinctive expressions: nice ugly, funny, surprising, incredible, and so on. The torsion of the concept of sharing, oeprated by social networks, has taken it much nearer what is commonly called Gossip. More than "Share", the Facebook button should be called "Transmit" or "Whisper".
It's the word of mouth dynamic, someone will answer me. In the end, the web is nothing more than the digital projection of human society and thus replicates its dynamics, whether they be nice or ugly. Here the problem isn't that the phenomenon is ugly or beautiful, right or wrong, it's that it doesn't take us anywhere, and actually only creates more problems, starting for example from the scarce reliability of information travelling on the web. The gossip dynamics doesn't include a verification of the veridicity of information per se, nor any preoccupation in terms of responsibility of the fact that we're actually publishing something.
If we add the times of the Web and the dynamics of people's attention, it appears pretty obvious that, in the end, we react in an instinctive, immediate way, trnsmitting emotions and not "knowledge" and that we tend to avoid complex content. This post itself, for example, will surely be too long for the majority of people who will see it.
But what happened to the good Jon Postel, true founding father of the Internet, who in 1981 formulated the law which carries his name and that describes the social function of the web: "Be conservative in what you do, be liberal in what you accept from others", which means that online it is necessary to be careful, and thus rigorous, respectful, exact and precise regarding what we propose to others. And we must be liberal, which means open to listen and favor and respect the freedom of thought and initiative of others in the act of receiving.
In substance Postel said that the web is a social ecosystem in which the engine is the communication based on exchange, listening, respect of one another, bringing value, interaction. Who enters and communicates online has the responsibility for what they say and does, but also a responsibility towards the others, which is the taslk of interacting, listening, sharing. Sharing in a view of added value, not gossip.
This law is now dead, on a web where billions of contents flow and in which the virality is a tool that is more and more encouraged for commercial reasons, and where even the so called influencers are measured not on the quality of what they say, but on how well they can engage their communities: visibility before everything else.
I read myself and I have the sensation of having written like those nice old people who say "well, when I was young things were quite different". Might be, but I continue to think that this gossipy web, more and more similar to the commercial television is, more than anything, a huge missed opportunity.

Femminicides and bullying on the web? The antidote is called respect
There have already been 36 women killed in Italy in 2013, according to Vanity Fair. And the physical and verbal violence is uncountable. An obscure, cursed downward spiral, without an end. A cancer that is radicating itself more and more in the already sick body of our society.
And going on along the way of the Martirs of violence, we get to racism, sexism, to violence diffused on the web. The most recent victims - famous ones - are called Laura Boldrini and Cécile Kyenge, the new Minister of Integration.
The former has talked about the climate of hate that is spreading along the web, the insults, the threats that more and more surround her person, also because she is a woman (and thus, according to a maschilist, Italian vision, incapable of having institutional roles of some importance). Some people have willingly misinterpreted her words, shouting to the "censorship Boldrini wants", a person who "is only pretending to be from the left wing". As if in order to be in the left wing you need special permissions distributed by someone who is wiser and purer than the others. As if being in the left wing meant to allow others to insult and threat you without protesting. Perverse obscurities. But let's go on.
The racist venom has struck (quite predictably) the neo Minister of Integration, Italian Congolese Cécile Kyenge, guilty - incredible to say it in 2013 - of being "black". She answered well, declaring herself proud of her origins, her being Italian and her black skin. Better black on the outside than on the inside, I'd add.
Many, even in good faith, cry out for special laws, hard measures against these phenomena of hate and violence. I think it is extremely wrong to face these topics only from the side of simple repression. I believe the main matter, never truly touched by the public opinion, is complex but also simple: in all these cases, the one thing missing is respect. The respect for the woman next to you, who is not an object to be used and thrown away when it no longer responds to your commands. The respect for those who, even if with different political ideas, and covering a complex role in a difficult moment, can deserve criticism, of course, but not insults or threats. Because the web is a useful tool for democracy. But the contumely prove the worthlesness of those who diffuse them. Moreso the cowardly threats, a synonym for cognitive incapacity. And what is more cowardly than racism, a stinky derivation of ignorance?
In my humble opinion, in order to fight these regressive phenomena of our civilization, we need a cultural revolution that can put at the center of the political scene the person and its rights. Regardless of gender, sexual orientation, skin color or religion. Punishing with fines or confinement won't serve certain people to change their small, perverse criminal mentality. Only by carrying on a radical cultural change - which starts from institutions, passing through school and media, and finishing with families - will we make certain males adult men; certain bullies of the web less coward and more useful to democracy, and perhaps we'll manage to make those who judge a person by the color of its skin understand that discriminations are an evil exercise as well as a stupid one, but also also a painful boomerang.

E quindi? I blogger fanno tre lavori diversi?
Nulla, in realtà.

Keeping a blog isn't a job: it's using a tool
"Him? He's the blogger of Telecom, she's the blogger of Vodafone" said a friend, during an event, showing me two people at a small distance. I was stunned by the attribution of company belonging for two bloggers, and most of all, I was amazed by the fact that in the end it was something that everyone knew.
Recently Federico Evangelisti has posted an interesting analysis on the relationship between bloggers and companies. Federico's thesis is more or less this: how can you consider bloggers to be reliable and trustworthy, since they are more and more involved by companies and tendentially generous with them? In the end he proposes a sort of code for the bloggers themselves.
The code provocation is interesting, because it opens a whole array of questions that are all but futile. Deontology presumes a profession so: is there such a thing as the profession of blogger? And if yes, what is it?
The answer isn't simple nor immediate. Let's proceed with order. For those who, like me, work in company communication and deals with the web it's normal, now, to see events that are thought for the bloggers (does anyone remember "MeetFS", beside the criticism that it caused?), dinners, invitations to press conferences and presentations, products sent in trial, engagement of these people as testimonials or detonators of virality in the field of events ("let's call a blogger and make him do the live tweeting" you can hear in the rooms of the communication offices of great companies).
The bloggers are defining themselves more and more as "actors of communication processes", strong in their position of "influencers". They have an audience and are getting closer and closer to being "media". Their job is hence overlapping with that of a journalist? For some, definitely yes. In particular those who choose to "do information" and in many cases they do it even better than the journalists themselves (risking a lot in first person), but they're definitely a minority.
Next to these there are also those who do other jobs and who use a blog simply to express what they think, to contribute to discussions and debates. Opinionists, we could call them, praised for their specific preparation and for the value of their opinions, are by all rights the editorialists of the Web.
In between these two "categories" there are all the bloggers who specialize in particular fields of products and create relationships with this or that company. The "experts", we might call them, capable (or so it is believed) of determining the success of a product or grounding its commercial hopes. Federico Evangelisti's post referred especially to them, considering that these three categories are not, by all means, compartimentalized, but have boundaries so blurry it's hard to detect them.
So? Bloggers do three different jobs? In reality the least common multiple is that posting, having a blog, being a blogger isn't a job but a tool. Today the blog has the function of getting visibility and building a name, in order to obtain jobs, consultancies, contracts, to enter the "good circle". So the blog is, almost all the time, a tool of personal branding. Actually it is "THE" tool. Not always and not anyhow, let it be clear, but the tendency is undeniable.
So, you become blogger to then manage to become an influencer and determinant for one or more companies, and build relationships with them. You open a blog to build some authority in a field and then propose yourself as a consultant or expert. You open a blog and you try to become a "character", in order to get called as testimonials or other things. E again, you open a blog, you accept to position it on the platforms of great information websites, for free, to obtain that visibility useful to try and get a place as a journalist or in the world of information.
What's bad in all of this? Nothing, to be honest. The authority of a blogger depends on the community, it will be said, so if people continue to follow him it means that, in the end, he doesn't do his information "job" bad, or at least he's appreciated, and if out of this he can get some sort of advantage, even economical, then it's all for the best.
The only thing that maybe it's worth doing is definitively emptying the field from the existence of the category of "pure" bloggers, at least in Italy. According to the philosophical guidelines at the beginning of the Web, those free voices that had the role of feeding the collective knowledge of the Web, finding valuable content and making it available to the community.
Blogging has entered a new dimension, more and more at the service of the blogger's personal branding. You open a blog for "second means", which by itself isn't bad. In this sense, the Web offers a precious opportunity, a possibility that didn't exist before. Then, once you are active in the great sea of the Web, what matters is what you can do and the value of what you write and that is a form of meritocracy that is more unique than rare.
The important thing is to quit clothing the blog with cultural and libertarian meanings that it doesn't have anymore, or that has in minimum measure. For the rest, go blogs!

- Terra;
- Mare;
- Aria;
- Spazio extra-atmosferico;
- Cyberspazio.
- La lotta al cyber terrorismo;
- La lotta ai crimini informatici;
- Come garantire (o impedire) la funzione democratica della Rete;
Occhi aperti, dunque.

The puppetmasters of the Web that dominate the infosphere
During these last few weeks the main discussions shared among the most followed figures of the web are about the Digital Agency and the development of the startup ecosystem.
These are extremely important discussions, that are great for our country, in case they are supported by concrete experiences and good stdies, functional to the generation of shared value.
In other cases, unfortunately, discussions degenerate in a Babel of memes that only have the will of generating audience, followers and retweets capable of altering the visibility of the individual "walled gardens": posts on blogs, Facebook profiles and Twitter streams for the benefit of emptied brains that click on "Like" or publish comments without going into the real topics of the discussions.
Many users of the Web lack a wider vision of the future of the Internet and its applications. Prisoners of the real time discussiones induced by the infosphere in which we are all submerged, we risk losing the ability of observing with a detached eye what happens around us. I fear that the miopy induced by a non holistic vision of the web's instances, today so absorbed in the discussions on topics that are definitely fresh but also strongly local, is now making us impossible to see that Internet's puppetmasters are weaving the web for the XXI century. And excuse me if that's not much...
We can't see what's going to happen beyond our nose, and in particular the decisions that are being made in a few weeks by who governs the infrastructures where the vital sap of the Web flows.
From the 3rd to the 4th of December 2012 Dubai will hold the World Conference on International Telecommunications (WCIT-12). This conference will review some fundamental aspects of the international rules on telecommunications: it is a global treaty that is valid for all parties that defines the principles that rule the way the telecommunication activities are managed, online included. The last time they have been renegotiated it was in Melbourne, Australia, in 1988. It's clear that, in the light of the evolutions of the network society, updating the international rules is necessary.
The game for the domain of the Web will be played. Inside it, as Luca Mainoldi states in the special notebook "Media as weapons", two vast arrays will meet, that defend different ideas on the principles that underly the liberty of the Web. On the one side the United States and some allies, that intend maintain the multi-stakeholders regime that today regulates the management of the Internet; on the other the different non-western forces, that intend to contrast the American strategy which is aimed to the full spectrum dominance media the affirmation of the principle of information security, imposing a multi-government control based on organizations linked to ONU such as the International Telecommunications Union.
Before asking ourselves what Italy's role in the world geopolitical chessboard of the government of the Web will be (and it would be an interesting question to ask to Mario Monti), it is necessary to describe the characteristics of the two arrays that will face eachother in December.
The principle of the full spectrum dominance is based on the principle that the USA forces and their allies must maintain the full simultaneous control of the five dimensions of strategis interest:
- Earth
- Sea
- Air
- Extra-atmospheric space
- Cyberspace
The domain is maintained through the use of smart power, for example sustaining movements and dissidents that promote the principles of western democracy in countries where, during the last two years, riots and changes of regime are happening in a more or less bloody fashion: Iran, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Syria.
The use of web 2.0 platforms and of social media becomes strategic for the maintenance of the full spectrum dominance. Not everybody knows that the techniques used during the Arab Spring, that had the goal of using informatic technologies to bypass the control to Internet access by the dictatorial regimes, had already been experimented in Moldova in 2009. And some protagonists of the riots of 2011 had participated to special formation classes, promoted by the Department of State, the Open Society of Soros or the National Endowment for Democracy.
So the web 2.0 is integrated in the intelligence, psychological and military strategies, not only American, but of all NATO countries, Italy included.
In our country as well, in the military environments (but not only), the debate on the use of media (not only online) has been open for yeras, as a weapon system in the field of military operations. So, if on the one side the USA government, in a civilian field promotes the principles of Internet Freedom, on the other it also supports the development of the Cybercommand, in charge of conducting defensive and offensive actions in the digital operative theatres, through a huge surveillance machine of the world telecommunications based on the National Security Agency.
The vision of Full Spectrum Dominance is counteropposed by the vision supported mainly by the governments of Russia and China, that want to impose a management of the Web based on the principle of informatino security, establishing an international control on the Internet based on the capabilities of control and supervision of the ITU, which is an organ of the UN.
The main goal of information security is to affirm the principle that it is necessary to control the informations trasmitted via Internet that could mine the stability of certain regimes.
Coherently with this vision, Russia together with China, Uzbekistan and Tagikistan have presented at the UN General Assembly a behavior code for global safety of information. In practice, the rules on the public problems relative to the Internet must be among the most important worries of the States, and must not be delegated to supernational organisms such as Icann and IETF.
In December, the destiny of the Internet will probably will decided. And it will be a decision taken directly by that supersphere of power that has the power to physically decide whether to leave the Web free, mingling the information exchange or cutting directly the nodes the are considered dangerous for the strategic interests of one or more countries.
The question of those who live the Web every day should be: what is the role of Europe, and in particular of the Italian government, in relation to the Conference of Dubai in December? What are the values and the principles that will be brought to the attention of the Conference?
I believe that the role of Europe, today so absorbed in the resolution of the worst finantial and political crisis of Modern History, is limited to the management of three priorities on the web:
- The fight on cyber-terrorism;
- The fight on informatic crime;
- The protection of copyright
It is necessary to be aware that in December, some important decisions will be made:
- How to guarantee (or prevent) the democratic function of the Web;
- How to establish limitations to the walls of its services imposed by great private players.
So let's keep our eyes open.

10minuticon Massimo Santamicone @azael
[video]
Vi invito naturalmente a visionare l'intervista completa, molto ricca di riflessioni e dettagli.

10minuteswith Massimo Santamicone
A few days ago we had the pleasure of interviewing Massimo Santamicone, better known online as Azael, a blogger and writer, author of "Sta uscendo il sole e chi l'ha uscendo sei tu."
We asked Massimo how his most recent book was born: first of all he specified it is a collection of texts published on social networks, particularly Twitter and Friendfeed, which he decided to publish on Amazon out of pure curiosity. It is an aphorism collection of the things he wrote during the last year: the title itself is a tweet that Massimo has defined as his most successful tweet, since it has been retweeted about 270 times. [video]
Massimo has also revealed he keeps note of everything he writes on social networks, because the latter have a relative life and offer no warranty as for their stability and continuity in time. He chose to keep a Word archive of everything he publishes, and until now he has produced several collections distributed as free ebooks.
We asked in what way the awareness of writing for the web, and in particular for social networks, has changed the way the text is produced. In his opinion the biggest difference is in the immediate feedback, both positive and negative. When a gag is published on Twitter, the audience reacts right away, giving an instant idea of how much that gag is appreciated. [video]
We wanted to know why in this case Massimo chose Amazon to publish his collection, since during these months there is so much talk about new publishing and the freedom of authors who can finally publish without the filter of traditional editors. Massimo has always published online everything he wrote, on the one side because of his limitless edonism, on the other for the need to preserve the writing: putting it online means to remember it, and keeping track of it. Afterwards he used Lulu.com, and just a few days ago he published with Amazon simply because of a simplicity of publication matter. In 20 minutes the PDF had been converted and was ready to sell.
The numbers are quite interesting: in just four days several hundreds of people have downloaded the collection, bringing it rapidly into the Amazon Top Ten Bestselling Books. [video]
For Massimo the way he writes depends on a crucial factor: responsibility. If he buys a real, paper book, of 200-300 pages, he knows he'll dedicate a few hours of his life to read it. When he buys an ebook that can be downloaded in 30 seconds and read in 5 minutes, the responsibility is quite different. This is why he chooses to write exactly what he would say when talking to a friend. [video]
Finally we asked how he thinks this type of writing will evolve: in his opinion, given the ease of production and the absence of obstacles present in classic publishing, more and more people will adopt this way of writing, which is definitely not so demanding. It is also true that this procedure gives the possibility to put down an important idea and publish it in minutes, the same idea that otherwise would have risked to be forgotten or would have been published with a great delay. [video]
I invite you to view the full interview, very rich in insights and details.

[video]
Invito tutti a visionare l'intervista integrale, molto ricca di dettagli e anticipazioni.
Buona visione!

StartupID | Stefano Passatordi di Searcheeze
During this interview with Stefano Passatordi we talked about Searcheeze, a web app for content curation that has the goal of using content curation for personal and company branding.
The idea of Searcheeze is an evolution of another of Stefano's projects, Ibrii, which was born two years ago and that allowed users to collect content from the web. It's a platform that allows you to filter and select the best content about a particular topic, give it context and add comments, notes, or thoughts. This mechanism allows the curator to become an influencer for the topic he's treating. [video]
An important element of the technology behind it is the one that allows, by using the tab, to select contents with a great level of granularity: it's not a bookmarking service, it gives the possibility of selecting the single content on a page, regardless of whether it's text, or video or images. It becomes extremely easy to decompose a page and reorganize the topic with content from other sources. [video]
The biggest differences between Searcheeze and other content curation services are basically two: first of all, the ability of selecting the single content, and secondly the collaborative feature in real time, that other systems don't have. These features also put Searcheeze in a different market area than the competitors. [video]
The business model will be a Freemium model, with three types of accounts: a free plan for those who do content curation at a personal level, or as a hobby; a cheap plan for those who want to do personal branding; a more expensive plan for those who want to do personal branding or company branding at a professional level, with a strong collaborative imprint. [video]
Searcheeze's numbers are quite interesting: after the launch there has been a rapid growth, and now there are more than 20.000 users. They haven't done any kind of promotion, it was all word of mouth, given the intrinsec virality of the product: users tend to invite friends or colleagues to collaborate at curating a given topic. [video]
Some of the future implementations of Searcheeze will be: the possibility of doing curation on social media, not only on web pages; upload content, not just gather it, creating a mix with the content that is already present online; an easier and more powerful collaboration tool; a suggestion engine; promotion of users that are active and use the platform intensely thanks to the implementation of a combined rating system (algorythm and other user's vote). [video]
Stefano has also told us what the perspectives for the next 12 months are, the advantages that derive from the use of a content curation tool for companies, and some examples of use that are having great success. [video]
I invite everyone to view the full interview, very rich in details and anticipations.
Enjoy!

StartupID | Johnnie Maneiro di Clapps.me @johnniemaneiro
Buona visione!

StartupID | Johnnie Maneiro of Clapps.me
A few days ago we had the pleasure of interviewing Johnnie Maneiro, founder of Clapps.me.
Clapps.me is a web app for the creation of internet pages or minisites that can be used for personal and professional goals or in case of particular events. Using Clapps is very simple: the user just has to insert an username and an email and the account is available straight away. It's possible to modify the page using the apps inside Clapps, such as changing fonts, colors, the background image or the position of the elements of the page, just to name a few. [video]
Johnnie explained that the project was born in Madrid after a meeting with some venture capitalists for another project, which was eventually rejected. The conversations carried on during that day, however, have motivated him to start working right away on what would eventually become Clapps, putting together all the keywords and the problems that were noted during the meeting.
The name of the service is a fusion of the words "cloud" and "apps". [video]
A few days a Japanese man created his page with Clapps and then published on the blog a walkthrough with every step, documented by screenshots, which brought a lot of Japanese users into the service. To celebrate this event, the release "Tokyo" was issued, which is the Twitter app that now can be integrated in the graphic of the page.
Soon the mobile and tablet apps will be available, since programmers are already working on them, and these last few days the integration with Instagram was issued: it allows users to have as a background the last picture taken with Instagram.
In the future there might also be an integration with Facebook, but Johnnie wants to prevent Clapps from becoming a social network, since this would mean that the profiles will be uniformed. The pages are intended to be different from both Facebook (uniformed template) and MySpace (extreme customization). [video]
Clapps will never become a paid service, since all the basic functions will remain free. The business model actually includes paid apps, so the user will be able to choose whether to buy and integrate those apps in his page or not.
As for companies, they will be able to offer their clients the chance of having a personalized page with the company logo, and this service will be paid. [video]
Clapps' numbers are promising: 50-60 new pages a day, 500 subscribers and 1000 views a day. It's a personal branding and small companies communication tool, and many are already starting to create minisites using the +5 app. [video]
I invite everyone to view the full interview, much richer in details than my brief synthesis.
Enjoy!

Buona visione!

StartupID | Emil Abirascid of StartupBusiness
Our fourth interview for StartupID, Intervistato.com's section in collaboration with Indigeni Digitali, is with Emil Abirascid, founder of StartupBusiness.
StartupBusiness is a community, a reality that gathers the protagonists of the ecosystem of innovation becoming an enterprise: startups, investors, incubators, companies, universities and institutions.
Born in 2008 as a project presented at the Chamber of Commerce of Milan, that every year finds initiatives supporting the development of innovative companies, and has become a company by all means in 2010. [video]
At present it counts 2500 members and it is not only a place where you can exchange informations, resources, opportunities and experiences, but also a platform that allows third parties to offer services and opportunities. One of the main partners of StartupBusiness is Intesa San Paolo, recently some agreements have been made with Asso Lombarda, but there are also plans for other partnerships.
Moreover, through StartupBusiness startups can offer services at special conditions for the other members of the network. [video]
For whoever wants to open or is opening a startup, Emil has some advice: first of all sign up to StartupBusiness. Secondly it is necessary to have the idea, even though it is not enough by itself: you must have the competence to realize it, at least an idea of what will be your team and some management competences.
But the most important thing is to tell the idea, so that possible investors might become interested. In Emil's opinion, one of the most common mistakes is being afraid to tell the idea, because the best way to protect it is doing it. [video]
As for the financial part, in Emil's opinion it is necessary to talk about your idea, your business plan, the numbers and the market impact you prospect, so that you can propose it to business angels and venture capitalists.
StartupBusiness itself holds regular Business Plan Competitions, occasions in which startups are called to present their idea in front of an audience of investors. [video]
The StartupBusiness team is currently working to develop the technological components of the website, adding new sections that will make the informative and the networking possibilities even more complete.
There are several growth perspectives: on the one side various organizations, such as banks and companies are realizing that the innovative startups ecosystem has value, but some of them haven't yet developed the ability to approach this world by their own.
The other development path is the opening to the international market, especially the Mediterranean area, very rich in opportunities. [video]
The sign up request has to be approved, since the aim is the quality of the community, more than the number of members, and the type of startup of the SB galaxy isn't just related to web and ICT, but also nanotechnologies, biotechnologies, robotics, alternative energy, aerospace and new materials.
A constellation of innovative startups in very different fields that represent a great value and opportunity for the economy of the country. [video]
I invite everyone to view the full interview, much richer in detail and information than my brief synthesis.
Enjoy!

Buona visione!

StartupID | Andrea Giannangelo of Iubenda
The third StartupID interview is with Andrea Giannangelo of Iubenda.
After a long experience as a website developer, Andrea has found a very common problem: every website and mobile app needs a privacy policy by law.
His idea was to find a solution that would allow anyone to definitively solve this problem without having to get lawyer's advice, but assembling it autonomously thanks to a web-based automatic generator.
The policy is assembled like a puzzle: the user must simply indicate which services are used by the website, for example statistics services (Google Analytics) or ad services (AdSense).
Iubenda allows you to compose the juridical document in a modular fashion, and they also manage the maintaining and updating of the documents, and integrate it on your website using a string of code.
The mechanism is very similar to that of Creative Commons. [video]
Iubenda's numbers are rather promising. The service was launched 3 months ago, counts 2500 users in the waiting list, about one hundred websites in the Beta and one milion visualized pages. [video]
As for the economical part, Andrea has proposed his idea to every Italian venture capitalist in the field of seed, and finally found two business angels and a fund who were willing to support his project. [video]
We asked Andrea what advice he would give to someone who wanted to open a startup in Italy, especially if they're looking for an investor. In his opinion the most important requirement is to be patient: if you don't have satisfying stats because the project is still at the beginning, you must become more popular and especially get your potential investor's respect.
Secondly you must be sure you're ready, both from a personal and a skill point of view. [video]
The single pieces of privacy policy are writte by a lawyer with experience in the field of websites, and infact the accuracy of Iubenda generated privacy policies is definitely higher than the average of those that are written by lawyers who are not familiar with these dynamics. [video]
Andrea's goal is to conquer the footer of every website in the world, but not only: many legal documents can be divided into modules, so this direction might be a developing option for the company.
Iubenda will become a paid service, but it will still maintaing a free limited version of the service.
At the moment the team is working at customizing and personalizing the single services, the graphic interface and mobile apps implementation: the service will be available to the public in just a few weeks, but Italian users already are facilitated into entering the Beta. [video]
I invite everyone to view the full interview, much more detailed and richer in information than my brief synthesis.
Enjoy!
