Lourdes between construction abusivism and (holy) water

Somewhere in the world a satire author without ideas has found Aladdin's lamp. The three wishes were, in this order: being paid for his work, participating in a threesome with Mara Carfagna and Sara Tommasi and bringing a flood to Lourdes.

The genius shrugged his shoulders and answered that for the impossible he had to go the Mecca and he simply sent rain on the French sanctuary. The satire author, who by nature is used to being content and being laughed at was extremely happy and immediately he started filling social networks with jokes and illustrations, followed by his peers. Rain water divided like the Red Sea, the Red Sea that turns into menstrual cycle, the Virgin's incontinence, watered holy water bottles in the form of the Virgin, miracled that come back on a surf, disabled people who get on Noe's Ark in couples to generate the new humanity, it's raining thief Trinity, there are no longer half religions and so on. All this and much more has been poured online during the last few days.

But the truth is different, and more serious. The flood has been caused by a series of factors that aren't very far away from any other tragedy of this type: the geographic position, the construction abusivism, the negligence in the maintenance of gutters, and global warming. If you go check, Lourdes is positioned just at the feet of the Prenei, in an area that was antiquely occpied by a glacier that, as it melted, has formed the carsic valley in which the Gave de Pau flows, the same river that has flooded the Sanctuary, which stands right next to its banks.

The flooding danger was clear, but it seems that none of the Holy Virgin's apparitions has ever put it among the priorities, busy as they were in populist propaganda operations like making hypochondriacs sick and touristic operators healthy. Even more evident is the plague of construction abusivism. Lourdes is infact the second city in France after Paris per number of visitors and everywhere you can see hotels, B&Bs and pools, evidently without any regard for the most baisc rules of territory maintenance, because it was enough to spit out a couple of Ave Maria and the remission came.

Another matter is the state of the gutters and canals that for years, every day have been filled by saints, rosaries, chains and pieces of wood that people threw away carelessly after receiving the miracle.  Finally global warming, of which Lourdes is one of the main causes because of the high number of prayers that rise to the sky and heat the air, and then stop under the form of fine dust in the higher parts of the atmosphere, creating the pressure cap that is the greenhouse effect. The analyses done on the rain during these last few days confirm that we're seeing the precipitation of fragments of prayers.

But all this the satire author doesn't know, as he doesn't know that while he wasted time writing, sharing, liking and photoshopping, the genius, as a genius, has spent the weekend with Sara Tommasi and Mara Carfagna.
