#Napolitano vs. #Rodotà o @pdnetwork vs. @mov5stelle: duello o flashmob?

Napolitano è Presidente della Repubblica per la seconda volta, mai successo nella storia repubblicana, ma nella costituzione non c'è nessun divieto. 

Si azzerino tutte le questioni e i rumori su golpe o golpettini, ma nel nostro paese il fantasma e l'archetipo del colpo di stato c'è sempre stato, dal Piano Solo a quello Borghese, passando per i sotterranei della storia del paese.
L'ha ribadito lo stesso Stefano Rodotà che ha ammesso che tutto si è svolto in piena legittimità. Sappiamo tutti cosa è successo, il caos, la frantumazione del PD e poi la rielezione. Napolitano nel suo discorso ha sferzato i partiti, che l'hanno applaudito, forse non l'hanno ascoltato fino in fondo, comunque ora è nuovamente nel pieno dei suoi poteri.

Ora la candidatura di Rodotà era già iniziata a circolare da mesi, anche su twitter, poi ci sono state le quirinarie del cinquestelle e dopo l'abbandono di Gabanelli e Strada, il giurista cosentino è diventato il candidato di bandiera del movimento/partito di Casaleggio/Grillo. Da lì è diventato, vox populi, il candidato di tutti gli italiani, degli italiani tutti, per cielo terra e mare. Poi stamattina arrivano i risultati delle famose Quirinarie, dove Rodotà ha ricevuto ben 4.677 voti. Prima cosa perché se alle elezioni politiche di Febbraio i cinquestelle hanno preso circa 8.700.000 voti, possono votare solo in 48.000? Perchè devono essere iscritti entro dicembre 2012? Perchè temono infiltrazioni! A parte la paranoia del ragionamento, poi i problemi ci sono stati lo stesso e non i temibili hacker venuti dallo spazio profondo.

Certo poi ci vuole molto coraggio a dire che Rodotà con queste cifre è il candidato di tutti gli italiani, uscire da Montecitorio coi cartelli stampati a casa, gridare alla morte della repubblica, al golpe, alla marcia su Roma. Ci vuole coraggio! O no? O ci vuole preparazione per mettere a segno una sorta di flashmob lungo qualche giorno, che porti alla massima confusione del tuo avversario giurato, che non ha bisogno, per guadagnare consensi, visto che ci sono le elezioni regionali in Friuli e altre in due mesi? Possibile che solo in pochi ci siamo chiesti se questa non fosse una recita? Davvero volevano Rodotà presidente? Parliamo di una persona stimata e degna che però non ha mai risparmiato critica a Grillo, m5s e democrazia elettronica.

E Rodotà? Caduto nel tranello? Non so. Certo non è proprio un personaggio che possa essere in sintonia con i dettami del mondo grillino (professore universitario, uomo delle istituzioni, qualcuno mormora anche raccomandazioni alla figlia giornalista al Corsera, ma sono solo squallidi pettegolezzi). Certo aveva dei motivi di rivincita personale verso Napolitano. 1992, Napolitano viene eletto alla presidenza della Camera dei deputati, carica promessa al presidente del PdS, proprio il professor Rodotà all'epoca, che poi lasciò il partito. Lo so che suona strano, ma anche la risposta piccata che ha dato sulla mancata comunicazione con Bersani, suona di rivincita, di ferita aperta, di vanità colpita. Certo poi è venuta la responsabilità e la coscienza, però il comportamento, diciamo, da statista, non è senza macchia e senza paura. Davvero Rodotà non ha pensato che poteva essere una manovra? Un inciucio di tipo diverso? A me il dubbio resta.

L'errore del Pd non è non aver votato Rodotà, cosa che poteva fare, ma poi sarebbe finito nell'inciucio con Grillo, ma quello di aver sbagliato la candidatura di Marini, per poi ripiegare su Prodi e non so su chi altro se Napolitano non avesse accettato. Una non-strategia che rispecchia quanto manchi una prospettiva politica nazionale e che ora necessiti di un congresso vero, che non sarà facile, ma i nodi devono essere risolti, anche a costo di tagliarli come fece Gordio. Comunque gli "inciuci", termine orribile, posso essere molti di più di quanti immaginiamo. Fa pensare.

Napolitano - Rodotà or PD - M5S: duel or flashmob?

Napolitano is President for the second time, it has never happened in the history of the Republic, but there's nothing against it in the Constitution.

So let's please silence all the rumors and gossipping about a golpe, even though our country has always been prone to these kinds of things, from Piano Solo to Borghese, not to mention all the underground plots in the history of the Republic.

The same Stefano Rodotà has reminded this, and has admitted that everything was done in full legitimacy. We all know what happened, the chaos, the breaking of the PD and then the re-election. Napolitano in his speech has beaten down the parties, who clapped their hands, maybe because they didn't fully understand what he said, but however now he has his full powers once again.

Now Rodotà's candidacy had already started to be around for months, even on Twitter, then the quirinaries of the M5S and the refusal of Gabanelli and  Strada, the jurist from Cosenza has become the flag candidate of the movement/party of Casaleggio/Grillo. From there it has become, vox populi, the candidate of all Italians, of Italians all, on earth and on sea. Then the results of the famous Quirinaries, where Rodotà has received 4.677 votes. First of all, if at the February political elections the 5 stars have received 8.700.000 votes, how is it that only 48.000 people can vote? Why do they have to be part of M5S since before December 2012? Because they're afraid of infiltrations! Apart from the paranoia of the reasoning, the poblems have appeared anyway, and not the terrible hackers came from outerspace. Of course, you have to have some guts to say that Rodotà is the candidate of all Italians with these numbers, go out of Montecitorio with the signs printed at home, shout at the death of the Republic, the golpe, the march on Rome.

You need courage! Or not? Or maybe you need preparation to strike a sort of flashmob that lasts a few days, that brings the maximum of confusion of your sworn enemy, since there are the regional elections in Friuli and others in just a couple of months? Is it possible that only a few of us have asked ourselves whether all of this was just a play? Do they really wanted Rodotà as president? We're talking about an esteemed and worthy person, who however has never saved his critiques to Grillo, M5S and electronical democracy.

And Rodotà? Has he fallen for it? I don't know. Of course, he's not the kind of person who can be in synthony with the dictates of the Grillo world (University professor, man of the institutions, someone also rumors about recommendations for the daughter, journalist for Corriere della Sera, but these are just filthy rumors). Of course he had personal reasons towards Napolitano. 1992, Napolitano is elected at the Presidency of the Chamber, a role which was promised to the President of PdS, at that time Professor Rodotà, who afterwards left the party. I know it sounds strange, but even the answer he gave on the missed communication with Bersani, sounds like an open wound, a stricken vanity. Of course, then comes responsibility and conscience, but the behavior - let's say - isn't without stain and without fear. Did Rodotà really not think that it could be a manneuver? I still have the doubt.

The mistake of the PD wasn't not voting Rodotà, which they could have done, but then it would have ended in the compromise with Grillo, but getting Marini's candidacy wrong, and then go to Prodi and who knows who else if Napolitano had said no. A non-strategy that perfectly illustrates how a national political perspective is lacking and that now it needs a true congress, which won't be easy, but the knots must be resolved, even if it means to cut them as Gordio did. However the "compromises", a horrible term, can be many more than we can imagine. It makes you wonder.

#OccupyPD: adesso è colpa dei giovani se il @pdnetwork è affondato

Ieri in una intervista a SkyTg24 Rosy Bindi tra le altre cose ha detto che la colpa, o parte di essa, nelle vicende drammatiche e grottesche (e questo lo dico io) del PD nell'affaire Quirinale è dei giovani eletti nel PD con le primarie volute da Bersani. 

Li si accusa di inesperienza e della non consapevolezza del loro ruolo istituzionale. Dice anche che molti, vittime della loro inesperienza sono stati teleguidati da una parte cinica della vecchia guardia. Insomma, una parte di loro sarebbe nelle fila dei franchi tiratori. La Bindi quelle primarie parlamentari non le voleva, è chiaro, e lo ribadisce così come sottolinea la responsabilità di Bersani nell'aver voluto perseguire su quella linea. Serve gente competente, preparata e formata dentro le fila del partito, ha detto. Insomma fate gavetta, e poi della vostra presenza su uno scrano ne riparliamo. L'altra parte di colpa è dei moti rancorosi e delle faide interne al PD.

Quello che mi son chiesto ieri allora è stato: e prima delle parlamentarie? Chi c'era sui banchi?
Perché lo stato degenerativo del PD va avanti da anni. E chi si era illuso che con le primarie il peggio fosse passato, anzi cancellato, si era illuso. E i primi ad illudersi erano stati proprio loro. Quelli del PD.

Ora, possiamo accettare l'inesperienza dei giovani neoeletti. Così come possiamo accettare che Marini e Prodi (di fatto il padre del PD) non meritassero la pubblica umiliazione a camere riunite in diretta nazionale. Ma gettare sulle spalle dei giovani PD un 50% di colpe della disfatta della strategia e (di rimbalzo del partito) mi pare un tantinello eccessivo. Ripeto, e prima?

Ecco, nelle sua parole la ormai ex presidente del PD dovrebbe trovare forse trovare altri alibi parlando di un partito che non è riuscito, negli anni, ad amalgamare in maniera compatta le sue diverse componenti attorno ad una linea condivisa da esprimere con convinzione nel momento della verità, e che si porta dentro, nelle vene, i veleni di scontri precedenti anche alla sua formazione.

Di quel che sarà adesso del PD non lo so. E' già iniziata la campagna elettorale interna, in attesa del congresso. Staremo a vedere. Quello che so è che c'è bisogno di un partito che smetta di trovare alibi e dare colpe e cominci a macinare seriamente sulla strada di cui tanto parla ma che non è ancora riuscito ad imboccare.

And now it's the young people's fault if the PD has sunk

Yesterday in an interview at SkyTG24 Rosy Bindi, among other things, said that the fault, or part of it, in the drammatic and grotesque matters of the PD in the Quirinale affair is of the young people elected in the PD with the primaries wanted by Bersani.

They are accused of being unexperienced and unaware of their institutional role. She also said that many, victims of their inexperience have been guided by a cynical part of the old guard. So part of them would be among the traitors. Bindi did not want those parlamentaries, it is clear, and she remarks it as she stresses Bersani's responsabilities in wanting to go along with that line. There's a need for competent, prepared people who have been inside the party, she said. So work hard, and then we'll talk about your presence on a seat. The other part of guilt is of the resentful currents and the internal fights of the PD.

So what I asked myself was: and before the parlamentaries? Who was sitting at the desks? Because the degenerative state the PD is in has been going on for years. And those who had illuded themselves that with the primaries the worst was done, or erased, was only illuded. And the first to illude themselves were they, they people of the PD.

Now, we can accept the inexperience of the young neoelected. As we can accept that Marini and Prodi (the father of the PD) didn't deserve the public humiliation with reunited chambers in national live television. But giving the young people of the PD 50% of the guilt for the failure of the strategy seems a bit too much. I repeat, and before?

So in his words the ex president of the PD should find other alibies talking of a party that didn't manage, in years, to mix up in a compact manner the different components around a shared line to express with conviction at the moment of truth, and that carries along, in its veins, the poisons of fights that are even precedent to its formation.

What will be of the PD, I do not know. The internal elections campaign has already started, waiting for the congress. We'll see. What I do know is that we need a party that will stop looking for alibies and give guilts and starts on the path they talk about so much.

#Bersani, #Marini e quel mancato passo indietro tra @pdnetwork e #Quirinale

Sinceramente, qualche settimana fa mi sarei aspettato il passo indietro di Bersani. Non perché non lo stimi, io l'ho votato e sostenuto. E non rimangio nulla. Così come non rivedo la mia idea che Renzi non fosse ancora l'uomo adatto a guidare il PD, non ora.  Ma c'è un momento però, in cui per serietà anche nei confronti di chi ti ha votato, devi dire basta.

Devi fare un passo indietro e aprire una riflessione. Rimettere al partito (agli uomini, donne e ragazzi che lo compongono) la decisione sulla strada da intraprendere. Bersani ci ha provato a resistere, a perseguire quella che secondo lui era la giusta rotta (e gliene va dato atto), ma  forse troppo e troppo a lungo.

Ha voluto tenere dritta la barra del timone di una barca che, era prevedibile, sarebbe andata incontro ad una bufera. E se la barca punta verso una burrasca mortale i rischi sono due: o l'ammutinamento, con l'intento di prendere la guida e virare evitando la tempesta (e sia ieri che oggi ne abbiamo avuto un assaggio nelle votazioni per il Quirinale) o l'affondamento. E se la barca affonda si finisce in acqua tutti. Perché sulla barca ci stanno equipaggio e passeggeri. Cioè, gli esponenti del partito e i suoi elettori. Non si scappa.

Il mancato passo indietro del segretario, quando ancora era in tempo, ha allargato la dissenso già presente nel partito, ma nelle ultime ore sta coinvolgendo anche una parte del partito e dell'elettorato che fino a poche settimane fa era ancora fiducioso in Bersani.

Ne scrivevo ieri su Intervistato.com: i litigi, lo scontro all'interno del partito, l'ostinazione delle sue componenti a voler perseguire senza se e senza ma le proprie idee - e la base?- sta finendo per disorientare l'elettore. Personalmente mi trovo in questa situazione di assoluta incapacità di decifrare la direzione che il PD e le sue componenti vorranno intraprendere nei prossimi giorni, settimane, e mi spaventa.

Oggi il Franco Marini che dopo la votazione non ha inteso fare un passo indietro mi ha ricordato una storia recente, una ostinazione che in queste settimane mi ha disturbato e che mi ha trovato contrario: quella di Bersani e del suo passo indietro mancato. Ed è il motivo della sconfitta oggi di Marini, come candidato condiviso, nella prima chiama per l'elezione del Presidente della Repubblica. Ma è anche di fatto la sconfessione della strategia bersaniana per il PD.

Speriamo che le prossime ore portino consiglio.

Bersani, Marini, and that missed step backwards between PD and Quirinale

Honestly, a few weeks ago I would have expected the step backwards from Bersani. Not because I don't like him, I voted for him and sustained him. And I'm not going to take that back. As I don't take back my idea of Renzi as unfit to lead the PD, at least for now. But there's a moment when in order to be honest with those who voted for you, you have to put an end to it.

You have to go back and open a debate. Giving the party (to the men, women and young people) the decision of the path to choose. Bersani tried to resist, to pursue what he believed was the right track (and we must aknowledge that), but maybe too much and for too long.

He wanted to keep the wheel steady, even though - as it was predictable - if you go towards a storm the risks are two: either mutiny, with the intent of taking control and going away from it (and we've had a taste of that with the first elections of the President), or sinking, and if the boat goes down, we all go down with it.

But on the boat there are also crew and passengers. Which are the exponents of the party and its voters. You can't get away from that.

The missed step backwards when he was still on time, has widened the dissent already present in the party itself, but during the last few hours it is also engaging a large part of it which was still rooting for Bersani until just a few weeks ago.

I wrote about it yesterday here on Intervistato.com: the fights, the clashes inside the party, the stubborness of some elements to want to go ahead with their ideas regardless of the consequences - and the base? - is ending up confusing the voters. Personally I find myself in a situation of utter incapacity to decipher the direction the PD and its components want to give the party in the following days, weeks, and it scares me.

Today Franco Marini who after the vote didn't want to step back has reminded me of a recent story, a stubborness that in these weeks has disturbed me and has found me contrary: the one of Bersani. And that's the reason of Marini's defeat, as a shared candidate, in the first call for the election of the President. But it is also the defeat of the Bersani strategy for the PD.

Let's hope the next hours will bring counsel.

La Badante del @PDnetwork: e se fosse #Rodotà?

Dopo la fumata nera su Marini presidente, ma già dopo la movimentata serata di ieri, che ha sancito la frantumazione non solo del Partito Democratico, ma delle sue correnti interne, è chiaro che l'attuale segretario Pierluigi Bersani deve dimettersi. 

Lo deve fare se davvero tiene al partito, ai suoi tesserati, elettori, simpatizzanti e affini. Nessuno ha ancora chiari i motivi di questo suicidio politico, perché tale è, ma è sicuro che ora per il PD si apre una fase confusa che culminerà col congresso in autunno. Sta di fatto che se addirittura Scilipoti è arrivato a dichiarare che voterà per Rodotà allora vuol dire che qualcosa è andato in corto circuito nella segreteria democratica.

Che cosa è successo?
Franco Marini è un candidato di fumo per nascondere quello vero della quarta votazione? Che strategia è? Far spaccare un partito per ottenere cosa? L'accordo con Berlusconi? La volontà espressa dagli elettori, soprattutto da ieri, è contro questo accordo, come contro Marini. Perchè non puntare su Rodotà, o almeno su Prodi. No. Come un lemure impazzito che viaggia verso uno strapiombo Bersani ha tirato dritto. Solo che Sel, Renzi, Civati, Serracchiani, Orfini e molti altri, hanno puntato i piedi e tutto si è fermato. Ora il PD è un empasse da superare. Come?

Il Presidente
Fare in fretta, al più presto e poi resettare tutti. Lasciamo perdere i tatticismi, le strategie, perché la direzione del PD sembra contare i peggiori giocatori di Risiko della storia. Quindi puntare su un nome accettabile, Rodotà sembrerebbe l'optimus, ma potrebbe essere anche Zagrebelsky o qualcuno di quel livello.

La Badante
L'uscita di scena di Bersani, che non è augurio, ma una condizione necessaria e NON sufficiente, per salvare un partito, che comunque è quello che ha preso (e anche disperso) più voti alle ultime elezioni. Quindi serve qualcuno che faccia da Ponte a questo ragazzino precocemente invecchiato. Non sono convinto che Renzi possa oggi prendere in carico il partito, si giocherà tutto al congresso, è così il tandem Civati-Serracchiani. Neanche a parlarne dei giovani turchi, Orfini e Fassina hanno definitivamente litigato, con quest'ultimo sepolto dopo la battuta della cognata che lavora alle poste e non conosce Rodotà. Fassina faccia un favore a se stesso e cerchi di non far ridere. Comunque io un'idea per la Badante c'è l'ho.

La Soluzione
Mettiamo che Prodi diventa Presidente, che succeda se fino al congresso il partito lo tiene Rodotà? Certo, ha 80 anni, ma deve dare una nuova serenità fino all'autunno, che vedrà in campo anche Barca e la corrente della sinistra del partito. Certo, non lo votano come presidente ti pare che lo prendono come segretario? Vero, ma sarebbe una segreteria di alto profilo, con l'appoggio anche di molti militanti che si stanno esprimendo nelle piazze e sui social network. Sarebbe anche possibile quel famoso dialogo coi cinquestelle? Perchè no, visto che il giurista calabrese è il loro candidato presidente. Io lancio questa idea, poi vediamo cosa succede. Sperando che qualcosa succeda.

The caretaker of the PD: what if it were Rodotà?

After the black smoke on Marini president, but already after yesterday night, which has not only decreed the breaking of the Democratic Party, but also of the currents within, it is clear that the current secretary Pierluigi Bersani must resign.

He must if he really cares about the party, its members, voters, sympathizers and such. No one still knows the motives behind this political suicide, because that's what's going on, but surely now for the PD there will be a confused phased that will peak with the autumn congress. Franco Marini is a smoke candidate to hide the real one at the fourth vote? What kind of strategy is that? Dividing the party for what? An agreement with Berlusconi? The will the voters expressed, especially since yesterday, is against this agreement, as it is against Marini. Why not point on Rodotà, or even Prodi? No. Just like a crazy lemure racing towards a cliff, Bersani has gone straight agead. Only that Sel, Renzi, Civati, Serracchiani, Orfini and many others have hit the breaks and everything stopped. Now the PD is an empasse to be overcome. But how?

The President

Do it quick, as quick as possible and the reset. Forget tactics, strategies, because the PD direction seems to count the worst Risiko players in history. So point on an acceptable name, Rodotà would be great, but it could also be Zagrebelsky or someone at that level.

The caretaker

Bersani's exit, which isn't a good thing, but a necessary and not sufficient condition to save the party, which is however the one that got (and lost) the most votes during the last elections. So we need someone that can make a bridge to this early aged little boy. I'm not convinced that Renzi can take the party in his hands today, everything will be played out during the congress, and so will the Civati - Serracchiani duo. I won't even speak about the young Turks, Orfini and Fassina have definitely fought, with the latter submerged by his joke about his sister-in-law who works at the post and doesn't know who Rodotà is. Fassina should do himself a favor and try not to make us laugh. However I do have an idea for the caretaker.

The Solution

Let's say Prodi becomes President, what happens if until the congress Rodotà holds the party? Yes, he's 80, but he needs to give a new serenity until the autumn, which will see on the field Barca and the left wing of the party. Of course, they don't vote him as a president, do  you think they'll take him as a secretary? True, but it would be a high profile secretary, with the help of many sustainers who are expressing themselves in the streets and on social networks. Would that famous dialogue with the 5 star movement be possible as well? Why not, since the Calabrian jurist is their president candidate. I launch this idea, then we'll see what happens. Hoping that something will happen.

Separati in casa, @pdnetwork: una storia alla fine?

Chi è figlio di genitori separati o divorziati lo sa, non è mai semplice. La confusione e la tensione a cui si è costantemente sottoposti nella fase che precede la divisione in taluni casi, soprattutto sui figli più piccoli, spesso rischia di lasciare il segno.

Comincia con piccole tensioni, disaccordi appena percepibili. Continua con scontri futili ma più violenti sulle decisioni, non sempre fondamentali. Va avanti fino a che uno dei due non cede e sbuffando accetta l'altrui volere. Salvo poi, magari sotto una spinta d'orgoglio, rimangiarsi tutto e tornare sulla sua decisione alzando nuovamente la barricata.

Prendiamo le vacanze estive: qualche mese prima dell'estate comincia il dibattito. Mare, montagna, mare, montagna, poi un compromesso: la campagna. La tensione cala, fino al momento in cui uno dei due non torna sulle posizioni. Procede così fino all'estate quando ormai è troppo tardi e i posti,  che sia al mare o in montagna e finanche in campagna, sono tutti esauriti. Finisce che si resta tutti in città, tutti nella stessa casa a guardarsi in cagnesco pieni di risentimento. Chi ci rimette? Beh chiedetelo alla prole costretta alla canicola estiva della città.

Dal litigio, dal conflitto anche aspro, si arriva ad un passaggio cruciale. E' quello in cui i due genitori vivono entrambi nella stessa casa ma non sono in casa, con la testa. Persa ormai altrove, in pensieri propri e totalmente svincolati dalle logiche famigliari. Separati in casa. Non perseguono più quegli obiettivi necessari a traghettare la famiglia fuori dalla crisi, ma impostano una loro linea, personale.

E' il momento in cui il figlio non capisce più una mazza. Non sa se può contare ancora sull'integrità della famiglia, non sa se avrà ancora una famiglia, non sa nemmeno a chi dei contendenti guardare. Chi ha ragione? Chi torto? Nell'interesse di chi? Alla fine il figlio finisce spesso per chiudersi in se stesso allontanando le voci dell'uno e dell'altro.

Ecco, in queste ultime settimane da elettore del PD mi sono sentito nel ruolo del figlio, strapazzato, confuso nell'assistere al continuo e sempre più acre litigio interno al partito. Un partito che non riesce a mettersi d'accordo tra mare e montagna, un partito ormai separato in casa e che corre il rischio di trovarsi con tutti i posti esauriti. E la tentazione di allontanare le voci dell'uno e dell'altro è forte.

Dopo restano solo due strade percorribili: o un estremo sforzo nella ricerca di una riappacificazione, cosa non facile e che richiede una volontà comune enorme nel cercare di salvare il salvabile, o il divorzio. Il liberi tutti. Ma a quel punto è difficile prevedere se e dove le simpatie del figli andranno.

A questo c'è da aggiungere il collasso della linea di Bersani, che ci ha provato. Forse troppo e troppo a lungo. Ma dopo la prima votazione per il Quirinale, con il PD spaccato più che mai, la bocciatura di Franco Marini dopo il primo scrutinio è de facto anche una bocciatura del segretario del Partito Democratico ormai contestato nella sua scelta anche da una parte della base.

I giorni successivi all'elezione del Presidente della Repubblica ci diranno di più. Ma la crisi all'interno del PD pare non lasciare molto spazio alla prima ipotesi e forse, arrivati ad un certo punto è inutile continuare la battaglia contro i mulini a vento.

Separated at home, the PD: an ending story?

The kids of separated or divorced parents knows, it's never simple. The confusion and the tension you're constantly exposed to in the phase preceding the division in some cases, especially on younger children, often risks to leave the mark.

It starts out with small tensions, barely perceptible disagreements. It goes on with futile fights, but even more violent on decisions, not always fundamental. It goes on until one of the two doesn't give in and accepts the wishes of the other. Unless, with a push of pride, they take it all back and goes to the first decision raising the barricade once again.

Let's take the summer holidays: a few months before the summer the debate begins. Seaside or mountains, seaside, mountain, then the compromise: the countryside. The tension goes down, until the moment one of the two goes back to their position. So it goes on until the summer, when it's too late and all places in the mountains, the seaside and even in the countryside are finished. So it ends that they all remain in the city, in the same house, looking at eachother filled with resentment. Who is the loser? Just ask the kids who are forced to stay in the summer heat in the city.

From fights, from the bad conflict, you get to the crucial shift. The one where the two parents both live in the same huse but aren't there with their heads. It's lost somewhere else, in their own thoughts and totally unbound from familiar logics. Separated at home. They don't follow those goals that are necessary to bring the family outside of the crisis, but they follow their own, personal line.

It's the moment when the kids don't understand anything anymore. They don't know whether they can count on the integrity of the family, they don't know whether they have a family anymore, not even which of the two contendents to look at. Who's right? Who's wrong? In the interest of whom? In the end the kids end up closing themselves and getting away from the voices of both.

So there, during the last weeks as a PD voter I've felt like that kid, confused in assisting at the continuous and grave fights inside the party. A party that can't agree on mountain or seaside, a party separated at home, and which risks to find everywhere fully booked. And the temptation of getting away from it all is really strong.
